Garden update

DaffodilsWell, spring is here. Thanks to everyone who has said how good the garden is looking. When mum and I see that the daffodils, crocuses and hyacinths are doing so well it makes all that hard work last year worth it.

Since my last report for Church Chat, I have been busy planting summer bulbs. Lots of different kinds have gone in so look out for them over the next few months. They are in the garden and in some of the pots on the lower patio.

The water butt is now installed and is collecting rain water (April was not the month of showers after all – let’s hope May does better!).

Now summer is coming, unfortunately so are the weeds, so I am constantly having to weed the garden, but that’s all part of the fun of the job (you have to take the bad with the good).

Thanks to everyone who continues to support the garden through donations. If you would like to help in any way, please see me at any time. All offers would be gratefully received.
